In case of conventional A/C, during cooling, the Freon is compressed into high temp high pressure steam in the compressor, then further to condenser coil. Here freon becomes high pressure normal temp liquid and to capillary. Further freon turns to low temp low pressure liquid through decompression then to indoor unit to achieve cooling function through heat exchanging in evaporator.
Now for our solar air conditioner, solar collectors are collecting heat from sunshine, after the high temp high pressure steam (freon) come from the compressor, the high temp high pressure steam (freon) will go to the copper coil of the solar collector for heat exchange. Here the solar collector makes the high temp high pressure steam (freon) much higher temp, much higher pressure. In short, the solar collector helps the compressor to make the high temp high pressure steam (freon) much higher in temp and pressure. So the solar air conditioner can save electricity and increase the energy efficiency when cooling.
The higher the temperature the higher the energy efficiency ratio (COP), and the effect of refrigeration is also higher. For example, if heat carrier's temperature is about 60 then the COP of refrigerator would be approximately 0-40; If heat carrier's temperature is about 90ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã†â€™, then the COP of refrigerator would be approximately 0-70; If heat carrier's temperature is about 120 then COP of refrigerator may reach 110 or above. It means that energy saving will be higher in summer as temperature goes high. The AC can work from -15 degree Celsius to +52 degree Celsius effectively.
